The Restaurant & Bar Design Awards now in its ninth year is a globally recognised competition dedicated to the design of food and beverage spaces. This covers every imaginable space, from ships to airports, museums to burger vans, and from revered Michelin-starred establishments to the fleeting dynamism of pop-ups. Judged by a panel of important personalities in design, hospitality and lifestyle globally – Domus included – this annual edition of the Awards attracted 980 entries from the UK and 70 other countries.

The Penny Drop, a restaurant in Melbourne, Australia designed by Golden, and Westlight, a bar in New York, USA designed by Studio Munge are the Overall winners of the 2017 Restaurant & Bar Design Awards. Another 35 category winners, including Best UK Winners, (browse the galleries) were revealed at the Restaurant & Bar Design Awards winners ceremony, which took place at London’s King’s Cross.
