Here in the Northern Hemisphere spring has officially arrived, so it’s the right time to become a model citizen: more environmentally sensitive, and surely more fit. With a selection of ten projects published by Domusweb, we want to inspire your good intentions with high-tech models, must-have accessories and innovative shapes.

– Bridgestone has developed a bicycle tire as an effort to realize practical application of the Air Free Concept, a technology for creating tires that do not need to be inflated with air.

– For urban dwellers, O2TODAY launched a new breathable and wearable anti-pollution mask designed by Marcel Wanders in Texus Fibre and merino wool.

– Thinking of the best ride experience possible, Slovenian start-up Noordung designed an electrical city bike that includes speakers, smog sensors, usb ports and bluetooth.

– Norwegian studio Various Architects designed a bicycle parking next to Lillestrøm train station: a public green rooftop made in wood, laying over a glass box, serving as a “bike hotel”.

–  Combining comfort, safety and style, the Equilibrium bike by SZ Bikes switches speeds automatically, features a precise hydraulic disc brake and a built in 120 decibel siren.

– Studio José de la O created a series of DIY devices for bikes, which produce a friendly, rhythmic sound, creating a pleasant soundscape where the cyclist goes.

– Sladda bicycle, trailer and accessories make it possible to move heavy things across the city, providing an easy and flexible solution that replaces the need for a car.

– The show at Gewerbemuseum takes a look at the wide variety of bike scenes in evidence today, as well as exploring cycling’s rich development potential and its future scenarios.

– Indrek Narusk designed a new edgy version of the Viks bike, inspired by the sharp edges and triangles found on the design of Italian Lamborghini supercars.

– After studying the needs of the new cyclists generations, Closca Design conceived a high-tech collapsible helmet that can easily fit in bags or backpacks.
