At Maison&Objet 2017 Italian brand Bosa presented a ceramic collection by Giovanni Motta and Elena Salmistraro, full of playful little monsters that recover lost emotional states of mind, and monkeys that evoke the relationship between man and primate.

The Momonsters live in Giovanni Motta’s immaginary world: the designer finds inspiration in Japanese cartoons, and in his children’s drawings. These small ceramic sculptures recover specific states of mind generated by memories. “A monster, from latin monstrum – prodigy, portent, is an extraordinary thing, just like experiencing a certain emotion”, he explains.

In her Primates collection, Elena Salmistraro uses a colorful palette inspired by the similarity between monkeys and men. The detailed vases bring this magnificent animal to our domestic environment.
