Less than 50 sqm

In less than 50 square meters Architects conceived a rational apartment, experimenting with new design solutions that turns connective spaces into functional areas.

In less than 50 square meters, with limits such as the presence of a big load bearing wall and being the building listed, arcHITects designed a modern apartment by minimizing the connective spaces and turning them into functional areas.

The small size, generally faced as a restriction, becomes an opportunity to develop project solutions to accomplish the owner request without sacrificing both functionality and the mood and decor of interiors.

The 50 sqm refurbished apartment consists of a living/dining room, an essential yet fully equipped kitchen, one bedroom with walk-in closet and a bathroom with separate laundry room. The diffuse lighting made by LED strips, hidden behind plaster cornices, concealed the low ceiling height while giving a sense of “airiness” to the rooms.
