Ernestomeda: Soul / 137

Designed by Giuseppe Bavuso, Soul is a pared-down version of an old-style domestic kitchen, brought up-to-date in terms of functionality and featuring new high-performance finishes.

Ernestomeda: Soul
At first glance the Soul kitchen designed by Giuseppe Bavuso for Ernestomeda may seem reminiscent of a kitchen from long ago with its large sink unit that seems more like an outdoor wash-down unit, however a number of meticulously-designed functional details reveal some careful study that is absolutely state-of-the-art.
For example the domestic glasshouse patented by Bulbo with LED lighting or the vacuum dispenser for fine wines developed for professionals.

Other functional details are the Cyclos revolving table that rotates on a pivot for transforming from  snack bar to reveal its completed dimensions; or the Tag Filter handles that appear as an irregularity in the door surface that creates a flap behind which is concealed an air filter placed on the inner face that enables ventilation inside the unit.

In terms of finishing materials, Nanoceramic Nte™ is a surface developed using nanotechnology. On the surface of the finish pigment is mixed with micro-particles of ceramic to create a product that is 60% stronger that ordinary lacquer.
