Studio Job: Archives / 105

Job Smeets and Nynke Tynagel of Studio Job have designed a wallpaper collection inspired by their own creative universe for NLXL.

Founded in 2010, NLXL is a Dutch company specialised in wallpaper production.

After the success of the Scrapwood collection designed by Piet Hein Eek and its founders Rick and Esther Vintage – winner of the ICFF Editors Award in New York in 2011 and now in the Cooper-Hewitt permanent collection –, NLXL presents the Archive wallpaper collection designed by Studio Job at Milan Design Week.

Job Smeets and Nynke Tynagel have drawn on their creative universe to develop wallpapers adopting archetypical drawings and universal symbols as iconographic features for their patterns and compositions, ultimately creating seven designs: Industry, Labyrinth, Perished, Alt Deutsch, l’Afrique and Withered Flowers.
