The German firm continues to showcase Grcic’s Pro chair, in an enlarged version, but also breathes new life into a Stefan Diez sofa, ten years after he designed it for another brand in the group.

Konstantin Grcic designed the first version of the Pro chair two years ago and it remains one of the German company’s flagship pieces, brought to the exhibition, at the Salone del Mobile, in a further update of the Pro Home and a Pro contract and office version.

Alongside this product, all technology and formal essence, Flötotto presents the softest of sofa designs – Couch. Seen from a distance, it may look like an inflatable covered with reassuring grey fabric but, seemingly floating above barely visible feet, it is covered with water-resistant fabric that also allows outdoor use.

Stefan Diez designed this piece years ago for another company in the group but, deemed totally up-to-the-minute, it is now being presented with a few small alterations that do not change the original design –demonstration that the new should not necessarily be pursued at all costs.
