Google and Luxottica announced strategic partnership for Glass to develop innovative wearable devices, matching up high-tech developers with fashion designers and eyewear professionals.
Luxottica and Google will establish a team of experts devoted to working on the design, development, tooling and engineering of Glass products that straddle the line between high-fashion, lifestyle and innovative technology.
The two major proprietary brands of the Luxottica Group, Ray-Ban and Oakley, will be a part of the collaboration with Glass.
The first collection generated by this partnership, that will combine high-end technology with avantgarde design, will be released in 2015.
