Kenyon Yeh: Pushpin

Inspired by the shape of pins used in the office for drawings, the stool and side table designed by Kenyon Yeh for Cooima explores the potentiality of cork as design material.

The stool/side table Pushpin designed by Kenyon Yeh for Taiwanese brand Cooima is inspired by the shape of pins, used in the office for sheets of paper and drawings. Its dimension was blown up to create a playful and flexible interior element.

The aim was to use a simple shape and, at the same time, explore the potentiality of cork, as design material for furnishing.

Characterised by an oversize familiar shape and by the warmness of natural cork, Pushpin can be used both ways up: you can sit on the smaller surface or flip over to use it as a coffee- or side-table.

Pushpin can be used as a single side table beside a working desk, bedroom or sofa as well as part of a group of stools in a café, a restaurant garden and other public spaces.

COOIMA is a young design company located in Taiwan. The company publish contemporary design products ranging from shelving, table and seating, lighting, furnishing to home accessories. The brand COOIMA is inspired by the Chinese word, that means “can do”. It aims to propose always fresh and new design.
