Tailor-made details for a café in Russia

Identified by the different timing related to food consumption, the rooms of this coffee house by Miyao Studio in Vladivostok find in the specific finishes an original way to articulate their identity.

A space animated by the succession of multiple environments is the result of the project that Miyao Studio has developed for the Coffee Machine Bakery in Vladivostok. At the entrance, a narrow corridor flanked by small wall tables is conceived as an area for quick stops  where you can wait for your takeaway coffee. Inside, niches covered with glossy Japanese style tiles are transformed into the customers' favorite background to shoot selfie, while a room with dark walls, revived by the brand's signature burgundy tones, is offered for longer breaks.

Personalized finishes contribute to make the identity of each room clearer, as in the case of chemically treated metal sheet, baked in the oven to obtain the desired color rendering, or as in the terrazzo cladding – nowadays a fashionable choice even in the remote Russian city - whose pattern was created and laid by hand by the architects themselves.
