Carpanese Home, an Italian design company born from the Bellani family's experience in the world of woodworking, returns to Fuorisalone 2025 with Unfolding, a new collection that explores the relationship between function, sculpture and balance. The project, designed by Giorgio Bonaguro, Simone Bonanni and Matteo Zorzenoni, is developed through eleven new pieces that combine aesthetic research and Italian craftsmanship. The presentation will take place within the "Beyond the Shape" exhibition, conceived by Studio Federico Peri as an immersive journey illustrating the company's creative process and design language. The Unfolding collection represents an evolution of the Carpanese Home style, already consolidated with Rising (2023). Maintaining continuity with the past, but completing the rebranding that has characterised the company and its creations, the new collection introduces a plus: the idea was to "reflect on the general atmosphere of the place where the furniture will live, with the aim of establishing a relationship, firstly affective and then ergonomic, with those who will use it", and for this Carpanese Home invited the designer Simone Bonanni, who created 5 of the new pieces of furniture. Bonanni explores stylised forms and graphic synthesis with pieces such as the Slow modular sofa, the Bitt coffee table and the Maki bed, playing on the alternation between softness and geometry.

The other pieces in the collection were created by the two designers of Carpanese Home. Giorgio Bonaguro explores the theme of overlapping and grafting volumes, as seen in Brick, one of his creations made up of bedside tables and a chest of drawers with essential and modular lines. Matteo Zorzenoni, on the other hand, proposes multi-material solutions with the Slabs coffee table and multifunctional solutions with Paw, a modular system that can be transformed into a bookcase, clothes rack, walk-in wardrobe or TV stand.
The new collection is presented in the exhibition "Beyond the Shape", curated by Studio Federico Peri. It is an exhibition space located in the heart of the Brera design district, designed to highlight the company’s production expertise and the value of the Italian cabinetmaking tradition. Each piece of furniture is placed on platforms with joined surfaces to evoke a photographic set, while on the walls a visual and narrative collage combines sketches, photographs and catalogue fragments, offering visitors a more intimate and profound interpretation of the project.
