Advantage Austria presents “Austrian Design - Pleasure & Treasure”, open to the public until April 14th 2019, in the Sala Reale at Milan Central Station. The exhibition brings together a collection of furniture and objects from about forty manufacturers and designers, the result of a preliminary selection that wanted to bring to light the best of Austrian design. Located in an evocative location, the old Savoy waiting room, the exhibition takes visitors into a scenographic space and leads them to the discovery of shelves, tables and chairs. The installation, created by architects Michael Vasku and Andreas Klug, includes a “Designpool”, a tub full of recycled polystyrene balls that create a soft white mantle to cross to discover all the pieces of the exhibition. In addition to the delicate pastel tones of the “pool”, there is also an exhibition of accessories and tableware placed on black surfaces that give rhythm to the space.
