Furniture inspired by Carl Andre’s sculptures and David Batchelor’s colours

Estudio Persona, based in Los Angeles, presents Connection, a collection that seeks a balance of forms within a domestic space: an investigation of the volumes and their interconnections.

In their latest project Estudio Persona investigate on volumes and their potential interconnection with a multitude of pieces of furniture for the home. During the development phase, the studio followed the notions of the structural construction of Carl Andre and in the present case taking inspiration from his Belgicube, while, the chromatic research is inspired by the use of color of artist David Batchelor.

Connection is a series of objects that seeks a dialogue between volumes and that intersects with an exercise of subtraction and repetition the shapes within a space, trying to find a balance between the graphic impact of the collection and the voluminous objects that compose it.
