Gold and emerald in a sushi shop in Valencia

The Spanish studio Masquespacio designs Kento’s 4th Take Away shop’s interiors among gray tiles, wood strips and gold and emerald green finishes from the tables to the fridge.

After turning a publishing house’s concept store in a huge checkered notebook and a tapas bar in a yellow, Ibiza-like, beach café, and after designing five velvet furnishings for Houtique, the Spanish studio Masquespacio, founded in 2010 by Ana Milena Hernàndez Palacios and Cristophe Penasse, returns to interiors with the opening in Valencia of the fourth sushi shop of Kento, an Asian food chain.

The idea is to create custom interiors for each chain’s sushi shop while maintaining few but important brand identity elements, such as the finishes that combine gold and another color – in this case a metallic emerald green – and the use of wood strips.

For this Kento, Masquespacio developed a more minimalist design through squared polished tiles of a bigger format, trying to remain faithful to the corporate identity, that focuses on an affordable but exquisite kitchen made by authentic Asian chefs.
