In Florence, an Eden is populated by feathers, palms and pink water fountains

Sara Ricciardi fills LuisaViaRoma's interiors with brass, ostrich feathers and purple ceramics, with references to Bosch's triptych of delights.

After the acclaimed set-ups during the last two Milan Design Weeks – Fenoména and Arcadia – and other eclectic solo projects ranging from sculpture to craftmanship and interiors that reveal her status as an artist, Sara Ricciardi designs LuisaViaRoma’s showroom in Florence as a “paradise lost”.

Eden that emanates calm, luxury and voluptuousness thanks to the alternation of cold tones - Bardelli's ceramic aubergine tiles and Decogeneus's green botanical wallpaper - and warm materials - the moirè fabric by the Antico Setificio Fiorentino for Houtique’s sofas and the exclusive palms in thin gold leaf designed by Duccio Conti Caponi.

The atmosphere is dense and full of references: if the ostrich feathers echo exoticism and obedience, the fountain that drips pink water is a tribute to the fifteenth-century Bosch’s “triptych of the delights”. Mute inhabitants live among 1920s chaise-longues and turqoise water lakes: small robots in brass and pink plumage that delight our sight and touch with their mechanical caresses.
