Solarkiosk. Social Design on display at the Museum für Gestaltung in Zuri

A comprehensive investigation of Social Design through ideas, projects, and innovations, from urban infrastructures to water filters.
An exhibition curated by Angeli Sachs, at the Museum für Gestaltung Zürich, presenting 25 international projects spanning all social sectors: from urban space to landscape, from education to work, from migration to environment.

The initiative sets out to prove how design can play an active role in our daily lives, facing the growing gaps in terms of resources, means of production, and future outlook, promoting participation and dialogue, within a framework based on equality between individuals, society, establishment, and private companies.

The objective is to promote and develop a culture able to redefine and improve social systems and living and working environments. The initiative also includes an open forum: the perfect setting to exchange opinions and ideas on these subjects.

The exhibition is supported by the Ernst August Bester Foundation, the Hans Brökel Foundation for Science and Culture and the Alfred Toepfer F.V.S. Foundation, in collaboration with Studio Experimentelles Design of the Hochschule für bildende Kunst of Hamburg.
