Juxtlahuaca and Cananea are two new design pieces created by Estudio Juskani Alonso and presented at the Museo Tamayo Arte Contemporáneo during Mexico Design Week. Designed following the home office phenomenon, Juxtlahuaca’s interior and Cananea’s form are marked by visual, tactile, olfactory and lighting stimuli. They both create a microenvironment that allows us to keep all of our senses active during our prolific moments. This personal retreat environment let us open to new perception limits.

Juxtlahuaca writing desk features an inner texture made of CNC texturized ash wood, two pendant lights and fragrance diffusers. The inner texture intensifies and grows in height when it approaches the lateral edges generating two nodes that nest an oil diffuser. This spots receive the heat irradiation from the Cananea’s bulb, filling the space with the fragrance. The Cananea pendant lamp combines copper and glass-based enamel, with a shade made of Parota Wood.
