For those who like one-off design pieces, the Post Design gallery in Milan is showing a small but refined selection of works by Ron Arad. On display are ten of his famous chairs in varnished, coloured and stainless steel. Arad works around a theme in which he gives a material that is traditionally cold and rough a warm texture, animated by curved lines. He also works with a close attention to detail with the design of jewellery, transforming steel into a noble material embellished with gold, silver and platinum. L.B.
