Alberto Rosselli exhibition at Politecnico

Following a silence lasting some years, the Politecnico in Milan plays homage to the Milanese designer and architect Alberto Rosselli (1921-1976) with an exhibition which looks at the main events in his career. From the years of ‘Stile Industria’, the first Italian magazine about industrial design which he founded in 1954 and directed for nine years, to his university lectures and the founding of ADI the Italian association for industrial design.

Rosselli, with his theory, teaching and innovative and courageous designs with a strong social imprint, was a key figure in the Milan cultural scene after the war. One of the first to become interested in industrial design, he maintained that “the designer should represent the consumer in the field of production. Someone who interprets desires like an advisor to a prince, alongside him but not beneath”.

The exhibition, open until 19 June, has been curated by young architects of Gruppo Ghigos.
