A highly individual designer, the deputy editor of Domus has always combined his work as a critic and writer on design, art and architecture with his work as a designer. It is this second aspect which features in the exhibition which gathers various threads of his work, small and large “monuments” to the artistic and human experience of the author. These begin at the age of twenty three, at Domus, under Alessandro Mendini and include the Compasso d’Oro, attained in 2001 for the Rai programme “Lezioni di Design” as well as his work as designer and consultant for a range of companies, such as O-luce and Bticino and the many exhibitions held since 1977.
The result? On show within the rooms at the Associazione is a kind of private diary, spanning a quarter of century, in which each project represents both a memory of and homage to people, happenings and cultural and historic moments.
