London: Droog Design’s survival kit

This year Sir Terence Conran has chosen Dutch team Droog Design for the Conran Foundation Collection – 30 000 pounds to spend on “objects you would like to live with”.

The selection offered in the exhibition at the Design Museum in London promises to be decidedly interesting – the two co-founders Gijs Bakker and Renny Ramakers “discovered” designers such as Hella Jongerius, Jurgen Bey and Marcel Wanders, along with many others who subsequently became well known figures in the world of design. Amongst the objects on display, bowls by Enzo Mari, Tree Trunk Bench by Jurgen Bey and a host of other curiosities.
