Pawson describes a theme path that highlights the key elements of his work as a designer and architect. Right from the beginning it is characterised by an extremely simple and poetic idiom – so much so that it has often been treated more as art than as architecture – and has frequently earned him the title of master of contemporary minimalism.
On show here are all his works – flats, art galleries, shops, restaurants, furniture and objects – realised or still on paper: from the London flat for Bruce Chatwin to Calvin Klein’s boutiques in New York, Tokyo and Seoul; from the Novy Dvur monastery in Bohemia, now under construction, to furniture for Driade.
