Eight artists, David Altmejd, John Baldessari, Olafur Eliasson, Catherine Opie, Jorge Pardo, Ugo Rondinone, Cindy Sherman and Richard Tuttle, have been invited to create unique works of art inspired by the ultra low-cost XO laptop developed from an idea by Nicholas Negroponte and marketed by the OLPC (One Laptop Per Child).
The works, exhibited from dicembre 6-9 in Miami, will be auctioned ondine by Luminaire, Design Miami e Fuseproject. The proceeds of the auction will go towards supporting the OLPC Project.
