Art and the american dream

Art is always about the experience of boundaries, and about transcending them. Curated by Peter Noever, in the New York gallery apexart “O.K., America” is an exhibition that deals with the language of art today. It brings together the work of artists from a number of different countries, different cultures and different artistic backgrounds.

Including The Blue Noses Group of Novosibirsk, Kendell Geers from Cape Town and the caustic comic strips by Raymond Pettibon. The common thread? All use their work to put forward a highly personal vision of the American dream, filtered across the canons of contemporary art. E.S.
