Andreas Gursky’s photographs at San Francisco

The exhibition which opens 15 February (running until 1 June) at the Museum of Modern Art in San Francisco is the first American retrospective dedicated to the work of German photographer Andreas Gursky. It has been organised by MoMA in New York who showed the exhibition last year.

A collection of images, covering the period from 1984 up until the present, which offer a look at an astonishing contemporary world, rich with invention. In his large format photographs, filled with detail and colour, Gursky projects us into enormous hotel receptions, inside international stock exchanges, world sporting events or huge houses and offices.
