“The tiranny of the viewer”: Francesco Bonami in Florence
Tuesday 5 December at 16.30 in the Aula Magna at the University of Florence sees a date with Francesco Bonami, director of the fiftieth Venice Art Biennale, which opens in June 2003. The meeting, coordinated by Maria Grazia Messina, carries the same title as the subheading of the Biennale which instead is entitled “Sogni e Conflitti” – “Dreams and Conflicts”. A chance to pick up news, previews and comments on the approach being taken to the forthcoming international art exposition. Also an excellent opportunity to see what is happening in the world of art today in Italy.
For artists, an interesting chance to make themselves known to Bonami – they can leave a portfolio at the Fondazione Pitti Immagine Discovery (via Faenza 111, Florence), from 2 to 6 December.
