Looking at art today: Jan Hoet at the Macro in Rome

Sixty six year old Jan Hoet, director of Smak (Museum of Contempory Art) in Gent and of MartA, the new museum of contemporary art in Herford designed by Frank Gehry, will be the protagonist of a conference set to take place tomorrow (Saturday 30 November) at 18.30 at Macro in Rome. The theme of the event is art in public space and the role of the museum of contemporary art in an urban context.

The conference is part of the series “Art Highlights” organised by Dobrila Denegri, a chance to take a look at the world of contemporary art and hear about it live from those in the business: critics, curators and directors of museums. The next date is set for 7 December and will be with Nicolas Bourriaud, co director of the Palais de Tokyo in Paris.
