Sound installations, sculptures, videos and drawings tell the everyday stories that the artist loves to describe. Starting with a series of delicate drawings which make up a story board and moving on to a sculptures, including a cardboard fish with brightly coloured scales made from confetti.
Many installations such as the puppet of a child sleeping, surrounded by sound or the two floor polishers which encounter one another in an arena. With many references to rock music, including the recording of a live concert in a forest in which the band never appears and the camera instead follows the movement of the lights, the only thing visible.
In the last room are three pieces, a fireplace shaped like a cat’s head from which emerges a miaow (the recording of rock songs sung whilst listening to a walkman); an electric guitar which continually moves, moving to and from an amplifier creating a Larsen effect. The exhibition concludes with a small arena where two cleaners dressed in specially made garments, move in a disturbing way, engaged in a never ending struggle.
