Vogue’s secrets in London

Extraordinary images commissioned by the famous fashion magazine which were never published. From first trials by famous photographs and great shots which were forgotten to the rejects of those which are today considered legendary. “Unseen Vogue”, at the Design Museum in London, presents a collection of pictures chosen from over a million in the Vogue archive – by legendary photographers such as Horst, Cecil Beaton, William Klein, David Bailey, Guy Bourdin, Helmut Newton, Bob Richardson, Bruce Weber, Steven Meisel, Nick Knight and Mario Testino.

The exhibition deconstructs the complex process of the creation of fashion images and presents an alternative view on the official history of fashion photography, often the victim of cliché.
