The Creek Park Hotel enhances the natural wilderness of its venue

Syn Architects has renovated a former resort by the Jinhai Lake, in China, using natural local materials such as firewood, pebble stone and wood to coexist in harmony with the surrounding landscape.

Creek Park Hotel by SYN Architects is the renovation project of a former resort. As the main creative concept, the designer decided to amplify the sensation of “natural wilderness” delivered by the venue. To this end, external appearance has been redefined by the generous use of local, natural materials as decoration.

Viewing platforms have been placed between trees, while buildings and functional areas are now connected by meandering cloud-shaped corridors, scattered and positioned on different levels, delivering a lively atmosphere into the wilderness. Terraces, viewing platforms and wooden plank roads were integrated into a vast tour system, optimizing the interaction between space and landscape.
