The Centre Pompidou in Paris is displaying the work of Dominique Perrault until 22 September. Often associated with the Biblioteque Nationale in Paris, brilliant non-architecture consisting in four corner constructions that circumscribe a surprising garden, Perrault’s name is linked to more than 200 projects (constructed and non-), a major number of works that all feature a constant search for new forms of expression – from the European Court of Justice built in Luxembourg to the Olympic Tennis Stadium in Madrid, the new Mariinsky theatre in St Petersburg and the two leaning towers designed for the new Fiera complex in Milan. As well as drawings photographs and models, a film directed by Richard Copans and made especially for the exhibition completes the visit and offers an exhaustive portrait of the French architect.
