Guggenheim and Hermitage by Hadid come to Vilnius. Clad entirely in metal, the spaceship-building that exploits the most advanced digital technology is part of a feasibility study commissioned by the Guggenheim Foundation of New York and the Hermitage in St Petersburg. It has also been earmarked to house the collections of the two museums. The winning design, along with those by the two other finalists Daniel Libeskind and Massimiliano Fuksas, will be on show at the Jonas Mekas Visual Arts Centre in Vilnius until the end of June. E.S.
