What can we say about architecture, today, and what type of narrative suits the idea of design? An investigation into these issues is the focus of the eighth edition of the International Festival of Architecture and Media. This Festival, held since 1997, is organised by iMage and promoted by the TAeD department of the University of Florence. The four days of exhibits, meetings and workshops, with the participation of the protagonists of the international architectural and artistic scene, revolve around the single theme of script.

In brief, script expresses the type of writing used to tell about the contemporary metropolis. It is also used to reflect on architectural projects as a creative and experimental form of writing. Besides this, the best video and multi-media works entered in the contest, about 50, will also be presented. These were realised by architects, students and communications experts from twenty different countries. E.S.
