Here one finds a fil rouge that twists and turns through time that forms a kind of continuity that spans from the 60s to the present day. The theoretical work of Gianni Pettena, who witnessed first hand the birth of radical architecture, reconstructs the scene in the exhibition ‘Radical Design’, identifying its influence in design today. The story begins in the 1960s, represented by Sottsass, Archizoom, Pesce, Superstudio, and moves on through the “linguistic explosion” of the 1980s, interpreted by Alchimia and Memphis. L.B.
