U2’s tower, new landmark for Dublin

The Irish team of Burdon Dunne – Craig Henry are the designers of what is destined to become a new landmark in Dublin.

Their twisted all glazed tower is the winner of the international competition which saw the participation of 500 architects from around the world. The project is promoted by the Dublin Docklands Development Authority, responsible for managing the regeneration of the docks area, together with rock band U2 who will be installing an impressive new recording studio on the top two floors of the building. These will be separated by a “buffer” level from the other floors which will hold apartments, offices, shops and workshops.
