Gottfried Semper retrospective in Munich

Two hundred years after the birth of the German architect, an exhibition is being held at the Pinakothek der Moderne in Munich of previously unpublished drawings, models and photographs which document the various evolutionary phases of his artistic career.
Organised by the Arkitekturmuseum der Technischen Universitat in Munich and the gta of ETH in Zurich, the exhibition is the most complete collection ever seen on the life and work of Semper, architect of monumental theatres and theorist on artistic disciplines and the classification of buildings.

The exhibition will subsequently by showing at the Museum für Gestaltung in Zurich from 1 November.
