London: future plans for area around the Dome

Go ahead from the government for the redevelopment of the area around the Millennium Dome in London, the Greenwich Peninsula. An operation which will take place alongside that of building a 20 000 seater stadium inside the Dome itself, which will be carried out according to a design by HOK Sport.

The intention behind the masterplan by Terry Farrell & Partners, which extends across an area of 1.4 million square metres, is to create a “new community”; dwellings, parks, offices, shops, restaurants, entertainment centres and a large arena for major events.
