The unveiling of Jean Nouvel’s tower block, Cologne

Officially launched on the 23rd November, the KölnTurm is a tower, situated within the MediaPark area of Cologne, with both a representative hall found on the ground floor and an exterior designed by the French studio, Jean Nouvel.

The building will house shops (1st floor), conference halls (2nd-7th floor), offices (8th–29th floor), apartments (30th–41st floor) and a radio station (42nd floor). 148m in height, comprising 42 floors covering a total of 26,000 square meters, the tower, which cost 200 million German marks to build, stands as one of the tallest buildings in the city.
