In the column “A Century of China’s Industrial Design” of Domus China 087, we presented the history and design characteristics of furniture, which has become one of the key symbols of Chinese traditional culture.

It reflects the pursuit, custom, aesthetic value of people from different age, different regions. Chinese furniture inclusively absorbs and inherits the essences of furniture design of all schools, gradually shaping a special style with Chinese characteristics.
