Orgatec 2018

What do inspiring office environments of the future look like? And how do companies remain agile in the face of continuous change? These are the main questions that the latest edition of Orgatec will answer. Under the theme Culture@Work the trade fair in Cologne provides a comprehensive overview of new developments and forward-looking products for the office and commercial sector. From 23 to 27 October, around 750 exhibitors will be presenting a diverse range of products for the working environments of today and tomorrow.

The fair addresses six main topics: “Designing for change”, “Working in feel-good zones”, “Peace and quiet in the office”, “The workplace gets moving”, “Forward-looking and sustainable” and “The office is becoming smarter”. Not only freelancers but also larger companies have long recognised the potential of collaborative working methods. Coworking, design thinking and other forms of spatial collaboration require flexible workplaces. Well-being, on the other hand, is a hot topic in modern workplace design. As work and leisure time blend together more and more, people want to feel comfortable in their working environment. A pleasant environment ensures greater productivity, promotes creativity and increases the company’s attractiveness and, especially with respect to demographic change and an ageing workforce, factors such as physical and mental fitness are becoming increasingly important in office equipment.
