Panasonic and Vitra collaborate on a transparent TV

It's called Vitrine and it looks just like a framed glass panel until you turn it on.

Swiss design brand Vitra and Panasonic collaborated on a new TV that looks like a transparent and minimal glass cabinet.
It’s called “Vitrine” and it’s another interesting take on the trend of concealed televisions, pioneered by Samsung and recently interpreted in a few different flavors by LG and Bang & Olufsen. The TV, shown by Vitra and Panasonic during Milan Design Week, is made of a wood frame encasing what looks like a glass panel tilted at a slight angle. When you turn the TV on, the panel lits up and reveals itself for what it actually is: an OLED display. All the electronics are hidden inside the wooden frame, with only a single power cord coming out from its right side. While being the result of two years of research, Panasonic said the Vitrine is still a concept and there’s no intention to turn it into a commercial product just yet.
