In Vienna's Nordbahnviertel district, an area undergoing rapid urban transformation, stands Leywand Residence, a complex that interprets contemporary living through a balanced dialogue between architecture, technology and community life. Designed by Austrian studio KIBB, the building brings together 175 apartments and a constellation of shared spaces designed for a more flexible everyday life: a rooftop terrace, coworking areas, wellness rooms, guest suites, and dedicated spaces for the little ones.

To make the management of access to the different functions smooth, KIBB entrusted the Prague-based tech company 2N with the development of the digital infrastructure. "We provided an integrated solution for the entire complex, with access systems that unlock directly from the smartphone," explains 2N CEO Michal Kratochvil. At the main gate, the 2N IP Style video intercom, equipped with a 10-inch touchscreen and Full HD camera, allows visitors to talk to each other and monitor entrances, while the My2N app allows everything to be managed remotely.

Shared environments, meanwhile, can be booked via Pocket House, which generates PIN codes synchronized with 2N access units. WaveKey and RFID technologies expand the possibility of contactless interaction in every area of the building, from elevators to reserved parking spaces. From a management perspective, the entire system is orchestrated by 2N Access Commander, a platform that integrates security, usability and aesthetic consistency.

The Leywand Residence has already won several awards, including the FIABCI Prix d'Excellence Austria 2025, the City of Vienna's MA 19 "gebaut 24" architecture award, and the Archello Award 2024 - Housing Project of the Year.
