Sculptures reveal the new Range Rover Evoque

Themed installations accompany the launch of the new model of the compact SUV.

A blend of art and motoring, accompanying the launch of a car through installations which not only celebrate the city, but also highlight topical themes regarding metropolitan life and sustainable mobility. This, in synthesis, is Live for the city, a presentation created to accompany the arrival in Italy of the new Evoque, the compact SUV from Range Rover, which will travel from Milan to Rome and then to Florence, returning to the Lombardy capital on the occasion of the Design Week in April.

The new Range Rover Evoque

For Milan, the duo Giovannoni-Marcatonio has created Urban Jungle with Qeeboo Kong, on show in Piazza XXV Aprile until January 26. The ballerina Emilia Billitteri has dedicated an installation Movement is sustainable to the theme of respect for nature. Then, at the beginning of March, Pizza Gae Aulenti will host an installation by Giacomo Biraghi. The expert on urban strategy and founder of the Secolourbano association has chosen to highlight the hybrid characteristics of the new Evoque, with particular focus on the theme of green in the city.

In Florence, the fashion designer Elena Ghisellini will provide an original re-interpretation of the eco-chic aspect of the Evoque. As the English car manufacturer now owned by Tata Motors points out, in order to minimise the environmental impact of each car, up to 33 kilograms of natural and recycled material is used.

The final stage is in Rome, which will be the reference point for Diva Tommei. The founder of Solenica will use the installation to raise awareness in the community on the importance of renewable energy such as solar power for the electrical needs of cities. However, as we said, it doesn’t end here. In fact the itinerary will bring the Evoque back to Milan for the Milan Design Week. From 9 to 14 April it will be possible to see an exhibition concept made especially for the event, the detail of which are however still top secret.
