The Volano B114 Signature is designed as a unique, one-of-a-kind piece. Its craftsmanship is embellished with 24-karat gold leaf, supplied exclusively by the legendary Battiloro workshop in Venice. The burl wood knobs, gold-plated brass details, and mirror-polished surfaces complete the work, evoking the sumptuous atmosphere of the great European imperial salons, from the splendor of Versailles to the majestic residences of Schönbrunn.
The design, the result of a skilful combination of art and engineering, pays tribute to the technical excellence conceived by Wilhelmus Van Berkel, founder of the brand, and to the contemporary artistic vision of Unexpected Custom. The latter is expressed in every detail, from the flywheel decorated with mother-of-pearl powder and gold laminate to the “Van Berkel International – MILANO” laser engraving on the dial, which emphasizes Italian pride and the continuity of a century-old brand.
The Swarovski studs, leaves, and golden laurel berries pay tribute to the famous dome of Vienna's Secession Building, while the lilies on the pedestal stylishly reinterpret the fleur-de-lis of the Sun King and the Florentine lily, evoking the great European tradition in a perfect balance between history and innovation.
