The Dyson fan? Now it’s mini and fits in the palm of your hand

It integrates a brushless motor capable of generating airflow of up to 88 km/h in Boost mode. Dyson has announced a new product, this time a portable one, designed for coping with the higher temperatures of the coming months. It is called HushJet Mini Cool Fan and is, in fact, a compact fan that can sit on a desk but also be carried in a bag or a roomy pocket, because it is small enough to fit in the palm of a hand. Weighing 212 grams in total, it integrates a brushless motor capable of reaching up to 65,000 rpm and generating airflow of up to 25 m/s. Its design recalls several other devices in the Dyson range: the cylindrical body measures 20 cm in length and 38 mm in diameter, a dimension the brand describes as representative of its smallest and lightest products, shared for example by the diameter of an ordinary watch face, but also by products such as the Dyson Supersonic r hair dryer and the Dyson PencilVac.

“With HushJet Mini Cool Fan, we wanted to create finishes capable of evoking emotions and suggesting contexts of use. Strong contrasts to express confidence, deep tones for sophisticated elegance and softer shades to convey calm. It is our way of making engineering a personal experience,” says Holly Holmes, Colour, Materials and Finish Engineer at Dyson. In terms of noise, the device produces 52 dB at speed 1 and reaches up to 72.5 dB in Boost mode, which allows it to deliver air speeds of up to 88 km/h. Power can be adjusted across five different levels. Thanks to the HushJet projection system, combined with a honeycomb mesh, the fan also keeps dust and debris away, simplifying maintenance and cleaning. The 5,000 mAh battery recharges through the supplied base and offers up to 6 hours of battery life on a single charge. Designed for everyday use but also for summer travel, Dyson HushJet Mini Cool Fan is not yet on sale, but will be available in Italy from May at a price of 99 euros in three finishes: ink/cobalt, white/soft pink and red/sky blue.
