From April 7 to 22, at via Caradosso 16, a few steps from the Sforza Castle, the exhibition “MATER IA” will unfold as a dense dialogue among disciplines – design, photography, video, sound, and AI – brought together around a leading element, matter, to rekindle the focus on thought, gesture, and the intuition of artistic making. The result is not a simple collage of languages, but a true multidisciplinary conversation where each voice resonates with the others.
Wood and travertine are the archetypal presences anchoring the space and form the foundation of the project curated by Chiara Massimello and orchestrated by architect Lorenzo Giubergia, together with photographers Per Barclay and Daniele Ratti, the duo Gioberto Noro and the artist Gianluca Iadema. Their presence materializes in two essential, almost totemic primal objects, a table and a chair. There are no special effects here, only balanced proportions between light and architecture. Around them, the photographic works of Barclay, Noro, and Ratti, translating this material exploration into visual meditations on perception, distance and depth, and the interplay between artifice and compositional purity.
Concluding this journey suspended between construction and intuition is UN_I[N]VERSO, Iadema’s immersive project, a philosophical and artistic reflection on the dissolution of matter, merging sound, video, sculpture, performance, and light design into a single multisensory experience.
