New Azimut “ecofriendly” yachts to feature interiors by Matteo Thun & Antonio Rodriguez

The philosophy of the two architects matches the ecological objectives of Azimut, which with Seadeck is developing its first series of hybrid motoryachts with the aim of reducing emissions by up to 40%.

The new series of motor yachts by Azimut, Seadeck, was born from the collaboration with Alberto Mancini and Matteo Thun & Antonio Rodriguez, on their debut in yacht design. Thanks to technological solutions aimed at reducing emissions by up to 40% and the “Fun Island”, an aft space designed to embrace the sea, Seadeck embodies an ecological and holistic nautical design concept.

Matteo Thun & Antonio Rodriguez also express in the interiors the philosophy that distinguishes their approach to design, driven by the choice of working in subtraction to create simple spaces in which it is easier to feel comfortable. Luxury is then reinterpreted in the key of well-being, also through the choice of natural or recycled materials, such as cork, typical element of the Mediterranean tradition, able to regenerate spontaneously.

“Reduction means durability, both technical and aesthetic. And a boat must last and be beautiful forever,” said Matteo Thun & Antonio Rodriguez.

Seadek 6, the first of the three models of the Seadeck Series, will be presented at the Boot in Düsseldorf 2024; while Seadeck 7 and Seadeck 8 will follow between 2024 and 2025.
