Architects Tales: dialogues on contemporary architecture

Curated by Luca Molinari Studio and promoted by Gruppo Rubner, Architects Tales is a series of online conversations with renowned protagonists of the design field on how architecture responds to urgent issues.

Architects Tales is a new digital format launched by Gruppo Rubner: a series of online conversations with important personalities from the world of architecture and design. Curated by Luca Molinari Studio, the talks explore how architecture intends to respond to contemporary needs.

At the centre of the talks are sustainability, project quality and the role of architecture as a social aggregator, but particular attention is also paid to the design of the city as a whole.

Topics such as natural architecture, ecosystem, innovation, research, quality of design (from the initial concept to construction), are discussed through the work of the protagonists – among others, Lina Ghotmeh, Laboratorio Permanente, Stefano Belingardi, Dietrich/Untertrifaller Architekten, LAN, Cino Zucchi, Michele De Lucchi.

In the next meeting, on 18 November from 6 to 7 pm, Luca Molinari will discuss with Laboratorio Permanente and Stefano Belingardi the theme “Ecosystem”, questioning how architecture can prove to be an ally in preserving and enhancing the balance between anthropic and natural elements.

“We firmly believe that it is possible to make a difference in the construction sector and that it is fundamental to give impetus to sustainability through a process of awareness raising in society”, says Peter Rubner, president of Gruppo Rubner. “Building in wood reduces the CO2 emissions of buildings. Every wood product, as well as a building, is in fact a natural CO2 storage tank: 1 m3 imprisons about 1 tonne. An extraordinary figure, if you think that an average-sized car releases about 3.2 tons of CO2 in a year”.
