The World Photography Organization announced the photographers who made it to the shortlist of the Professional competition of the Sony World Photography Awards 2021, one of the most internationally relevant events in the photographic sector.
Now in its 14th edition, the competition rewards works that stand out for their originality and technical excellence, which are divided into ten categories ranging from Architecture & Design to Portraiture, from Documentary to Natural World & Wildlife.
This year, the event registered an all-time record of over 145,000 candidate images from 220 countries. The winner of the Photographer of the Year 2021 title will be selected among the Professional competition finalists and announced on April 15.
