Shanghai has officially inaugurated the new Legoland Resort, now the largest of its kind worldwide. Designed to redefine the theme park experience, the resort spans an impressive 318,000 square meters, structured into eight themed areas and featuring 75 attractions, all constructed using more than 85 million Lego bricks.
The park stands out for its architectural approach, which merges playful creativity with references to traditional Chinese culture. Among the highlights are scale reproductions (25:1) of ancient water towns, boat rides weaving through miniature urban landscapes, and a live Monkie Kid show featuring what is considered the largest Lego minifigure ever created.

The project, a collaboration between the Lego Group, Merlin Entertainments, local authorities, and Chinese businesses, also includes an integrated hotel structure—Legoland Hotel—six main restaurants, and a dense network of kiosks and food stands offering a gastronomic experience in Lego style. Venues such as the Bricks Family Restaurant and Pigsy’s Food Court serve meals and drinks in themed dishware, while desserts like brick-shaped ice cream continue the playful concept.
